Hi All,
Things have been busy and my blogging has dropped off.
Here is a quick status:
I continue to use my CGM. My sensitivity to shaving has gone away. The daily use is a normal part of daily life. I am consistantly using a sensor for 6 days without issue. I have gone through 2 Dr. check points. Three check pints ago I had an A1C of 7. I dropped down to 6.5 on my early summer check point. Last week my A1C was 6.2. I was surprised, but it was very good news.
I would like to move away from the needles, so I am starting my research on pumps. The strongest candidate right now is the Omnipod insulin pump. My Dr. has a diabetes symposium on Sept. 20, 2008. I hope to talk to the Omnipod representative at the symposium.
The new motor cycle is doing great. TRW and I did 3 big rides this summer. Denver to Taos, Denver to Kansas City and Denver to Sturgis. We logged 3500 miles. We picked up new helmets and learned to use the intercom system on the bike. We met several nice folks along the way and had a great time.
I will try to write more as the year moves on. Work has been busy and taking up a lot of my free time.
I will try to write about my next adventure of moving to an insulin pump.
Thanks for your past comments.
