Up and Down

I have been on the Guardian for two days. It is not painful attached to my belly. I can sleep as I normally do. On my side or on my stomach. During the first night I had a Low alarm go off at 2:30 AM. The second night I had a High alarm at 1:30 AM. I did 4 units of Humalog to bring my glucose down. The high was due to the Halloween candy I ate right before bed. Looks like I will have to stop eating candy before bed.

At 6:15 AM another alarm went off. I was low, showing a BG of 70 on the CGM and my finger stick was a BG of 50. I was partially awake, I wanted to sleep in after the interrupted sleep, but I couldn’t, so rolled out of bed ate 3 sugar tabs to get my glucose level up. It took about 15 minutes for me to feel better, but it took half an hour for the CGM to rise above the lower boundary. Back on track I had my coffee and settled in to work.

Today’s activities, I have only phone call meetings with a Dentist appointment thrown in this afternoon. Seems I have two small areas that are beginning to turn into cavities. Oh boy; A few more injections today.

I still feel a little slow after a low hits me. It will get better as the day goes along.
